Assystem has fallen dramatically from its February high of around β¬48.30 to approximately β¬34, leaving investors with an intriguing question: is the market seeing a serious problem that others are missing, or is this a temporary valuation opportunity? The recent weakness has been driven by several concerns, including the postponement of first-half 2026 results, weaker international operations, currency headwinds, and uncertainty surrounding Expleo. The underlying business picture is more encouraging. First-half revenue reached β¬328.5 million, representing 0.6% growth, while nuclear revenue increased 8% organically and reached 81% of total revenue. France and the United Kingdom continued to perform particularly well. Assystem is targeting 2% to 4% organic revenue growth and an EBIT-A margin of approximately 7% for 2026. The major risk is Expleo, which faces financing pressure and needs to address β¬70 million of debt. The delayed financial results have increased uncertainty and could keep investors cautious. For value investors, the attraction is the combination of a substantially lower share price and strong nuclear-sector exposure. However, recovery depends on reassuring financial results, better international performance, and progress at Expleo. Dividend growth and capital allocation also deserve attention.
